The slide is the mid-war pattern that is marked on the left side with the two line, two block Colt patent/address markings along with the Rampant Colt in the middle of the markings with the "P" proof on top of the slide in front of the rear sight.

These pistols are shown in the Colt serial number range with Ithaca inspector/proofmarkings. In the later part of 1942 and the beginning of 1943, the Ithaca Gun Company purchased approximately 2200 frames from Colt to increase their production. This is a good example of an early 1943 production Model 1911A1 pistol that was manufactured by the Ithaca Gun Company using a Colt Model 1911A1 frame.
